Suggestions and Evaluation

The Muslim Students' Association (MSA) was established in 1980 by a handful of Muslims attending CU Boulder. The MSA provides a welcoming community for all Muslims on campus. One of our main goals is to educate Muslims and non-Muslims about Islam with the hopes of promoting a better understanding of the faith.

Our two main events of the year reflect that goal. Sights & Sounds Of the Islamic World is usually held in the fall semester to promote the various cultures that practice Islam around the world. Islam Awareness Week, usually held in the spring, informs the local community through a series of speakers, movies and panels about the religion.

Islam is a unifying force that believes in the unity of mankind as the Quran states: "O mankind! we created you from a single pair of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise each other). Verily, the most honored of you in the sight of God is he/she who is most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted with all things" (Surah al-Hujurat 49:13)
